Gender Support
Units |
|
In
order to carry out women development activities
at district level Gender Support Units in 35
Districts of Punjab have been established to provide technical
assistance to the district Govt. for the gender
sensitization of district Govt’s policies,
programmes, projects and scanning of all the
developmental projects/ schemes, plans,
proposals and budgets for ensuring adequate
women friendly infrastructure provision at the
time of designing structures/ building plans.It would result in:
- Increased focus on women development
functions.
- Provide technical support to the Gender
Mainstreaming Committee in the
formulation of gender mainstreaming plan
- Creation of a dedicated office would secure
annual budgetary allocations for this function.
- Management of Distt Support Centers |
